What we bring to your neighborhood

Services across Chicago

Luxury picnics on the lakefront and in your backyard

Chicago’s lakefront gives you a skyline backdrop no venue can match, and Paula knows the quieter lawns where you can enjoy it. From spring into early fall, the lake breeze can make the shoreline noticeably cooler than neighborhoods inland, so she brings throws for evening picnics by the water.

Backyard picnics across the Northwest Side and suburbs skip park crowds entirely. For gatherings of 50 or more in a Chicago Park District park, a permit is required, and Paula will flag it early.

Balloon and venue décor for neighborhood celebrations

From First Communion receptions in Northwest Side banquet halls to birthday dinners in Roscoe Village restaurants, Paula installs balloon garlands, backdrops and fresh flower tables wherever your celebration happens.

Being based near the Jefferson Park Transit Center, where the Kennedy Expressway, the Blue Line and Metra meet, makes it easy to reach downtown venues, the North Shore and the northwest suburbs.

Jefferson Park and the Northwest Side

The Rich History of Jefferson Park

Jefferson Park started as a stop on the road northwest out of the city, with a tavern near today’s Metra station back in the 1830s. Jefferson Township was organized at the Dickinson Tavern in 1850 and became part of Chicago in 1889.

Neighborhoods and Streets

You can feel the Northwest Side’s character in a short drive.

  • Gladstone Park is nicknamed Little Rotterdam for its Dutch Colonial homes.
  • Milwaukee Avenue runs through the heart of the neighborhood and on toward the city.
  • Jefferson Memorial Park sits on the former Esdohr Farm and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Community and Lifestyle

This is one of the centers of Polish-American Chicago, home to the Copernicus Center in the former Gateway Theatre and to St. Constance parish. Over Labor Day weekend, the Taste of Polonia festival fills the neighborhood with music and food.

Getting Around Jefferson Park

They call it the Gateway to Chicago for good reason.

  • The Blue Line stops in the median of the Kennedy Expressway at Milwaukee Avenue.
  • The Union Pacific Northwest Metra line connects the neighborhood to downtown and the northwest suburbs.
  • The Kennedy Expressway puts O’Hare and the Loop within easy reach.
