No. Paula is a décor and styling business and is not licensed to prepare or serve food, so food and drinks are not included in any package. You are welcome to bring your own or have a licensed restaurant or caterer deliver. Paula can add an 8-foot serving table with a tablecloth for $40.

Paula is based on Chicago’s Northwest Side and sets up across Chicago, along the lakefront and in the surrounding suburbs, including Evanston and the North Shore. Delivery is $60 for most locations and $120 for downtown, skyline-view spots or locations about an hour away.

Send a quote request with your occasion, date, location and guest count. Paula replies with ideas and a quote. A $150 non-refundable deposit reserves your date and is applied to your final bill.

If the weather is poor on the day of an outdoor picnic, your picnic can be rescheduled. Paula watches the forecast with you and helps you decide early.

In Chicago Park District parks, a permit is required for outdoor events of 50 or more people and for any event with a tent or canopy, amplified sound or alcohol. The application fee is $45 plus rental fees. Paula is not responsible for permits, but she will tell you if your plan is likely to need one.

Your picnic setup is yours for two hours. Setup happens before you arrive and cleanup after you leave.

Yes. Paula designs balloon installations, backdrops, fresh flower arrangements and tablescapes for homes, restaurants, banquet halls and businesses, plus Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day décor.
