Chicago Luxury Picnic & Decoration by Paula designs custom balloon arches, garlands, backdrops and centerpieces in your exact colors, installed and ready for your guests anywhere from the city to the surrounding suburbs.
You get a designer, not a balloon drop-off. Paula plans your installation around your colors and your room, delivers it, builds it on site and makes sure it photographs the way you pictured.
People looking for balloon decorations in Chicago, a balloon arch for a birthday or a balloon backdrop for a shower usually end up choosing between a balloon shop and a party decorator. Paula is both. She builds organic garlands, hoops, arches and marquee-number displays, and she also designs the tablescapes, fresh flowers and backdrops around them. So your balloons, flowers and tables are planned together instead of by three different vendors. Her clients include Northwest Side families celebrating First Communions with backdrops lettered in Polish and small businesses dressing up their spaces for the holidays.

Most balloon arches fail in the same way: one color, one size, stretched over a frame. Paula builds organic arches and hoops with mixed balloon sizes, pampas, greenery and accents tailored to your theme, so the shape looks full and natural from every angle.
Your guests spend the whole evening at the table, looking at the centerpiece in front of them. Paula designs eye-catching table décor that ties back to your balloon colors and theme, from candles and fresh flowers to small balloon accents, so the tables impress up close.
A backdrop is where every guest will take a photo, so it is sized for groups and lit for phones. Paula pairs garlands with arch panels, sequin shimmer walls, flower walls, neon signs and marquee numbers to create a photo spot your guests line up for.
First, Paula listens to the story of the party, then she sculpts it. Seahorses and fish for an under-the-sea first birthday, giant number balloons for a milestone, bouquets for a table or entrance. These creative designs delight guests of all ages.
Booking one designer for the whole room saves you from coordinating three vendors. Paula’s event packages combine a balloon installation with a backdrop, signage, tablescapes and fresh flowers, scaled to fit every budget and quoted clearly before you commit.
Choose your occasion
Book as soon as your date and venue are set. Custom colors and larger installations need time to plan and prepare, and popular weekends fill first. If your date is close, ask anyway. Paula has taken last-minute requests when her schedule allowed.
Yes. Paula delivers and installs every design on site, whether that is your home, a restaurant, a banquet hall or a park. Before you book she will ask about the room, the setup time the venue allows and where the installation should stand.
That is the whole point of custom work. Send your invitation, your color palette or a Pinterest photo, and Paula will build the arch, garland or backdrop around it. Past designs include navy and gold, sage and cream, blush and gold, and a full under-the-sea palette.
Yes, and it is where Paula stands out. Because she also designs tablescapes, floral arrangements and backdrops, she can style the whole room so the balloons, flowers and tables share one color story.
Price depends on the size of the design, the number of colors, the backdrop or marquee pieces included and the drive to your venue. Event packages bundle an installation with matching décor to fit different budgets. Paula sends a clear, itemized quote before you book.
